Greetings From The President- Apostle Dr. V.W. Senior
Serving your calling and your community is a noble endeavor, while making a difference in countless lives. You will also be making a positive difference in your own.
NYSC, in association with CAICA provides the opportunity to individuals to become involved in impacting their communities, through volunteerism. Members can help with special ministry, in series of emergencies by building relationships as a chaplain, with their local first-responder agencies. Like their vocational counterparts, their time will be spent in one-on-one interaction, counseling, and emotional
support, in crisis for both the staff of the agencies and the people of the community surrounding their local congregation.
CAICA allows church leaders and their members to receive training and preparation on many different levels. It allows for your leadership to receive training to address the needs of the community. Giving a deeper understanding and involvement of what is light in the darkness. CAICA says, "Give us your leaders, and we will get them prepared for ministry in prisons, hospitals, shelters, street evangelism, drug rehab centers and more." We will also train them on working closely with the various law enforcement agencies, fire departments and other governmental agencies that assist in the event of catastrophe. Preparing you to serve, is CAICA's overall objective. CAICA provides training for the challenges members will face in the areas of, Suicide Prevention; Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM); Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); Marriage and Relationship Enhancement; Prison Pastoral Education and much more.
On behalf of the officers and members of CAICA, I welcome you, as you embark upon this new journey of service. "For I was an hungered, and you gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me." - Matthew 25: 35-36.
